I believe the following analysis is worth examining carefully. I set out in detail the results from the examination of the word 'American' as a split-anagram within Nostradamus' text.

There are over 65 instances of this anagram occurring in the 942 verses of Nostradamus' prophecies. Three of these are not split anagrams but true anagrams. I therefore concentrated on these. It was immediately apparent that there are some unusual features linking these verses.

Verse III. 90

Verse IX.48

The word 'occean' occurs in both of these verses and the second of the verses has in the past been interpreted as referring to New York.

Verse IV.23

The first and last of the verses are linked by the word 'classe'. The second and third verses are linked by the idea of minerals as crystals, lime magnesia and pitch.

Now I maintain that I contantly find English anagrams within Nostradamus' text and they form a decoding manual. I am sure that at this point readers would think it near impossible to make coherent sense out of the above three verses. Let me therefore use these verses very slowly to show you what they contain.

I start with line 3 of IX.90 which contains 'stice hyemal' . This   contains an anagram of both 'alchemy' and 'alchemist'. There are only 6 instances of alchemy and 8 of alchemist in the whole text ( and most are connected with highly powerful code messages). The alchemists were very interested in code methods and used planets and minerals as part of their methodology. Numeric code  and  ciphers were also powerful elements of their practice. Alchemy was the basis of many secret cults in Nostradamus' time. These verses in their original French contain references to minerals (as listed above).

I believe the coding links  Nostradamus' quatrains by using a part of the original French to link it to a line in the English code. This enables the verses to be put back into their original order. In this case the sequence is either III90, IX.48,IV.23 or its reverse. (IV23, IX.48, II.90 is more likely).

The first line of this same verse (IX.90) says 'Le grand cite d'occean maritime'. It is almost impossible to miss that it says 'American time code'  but also easily seen are 'concealed code name' and 'calendar'.

The third line of III.90 is similar for in 'Vn chef de classe istra de Carmanie' the anagram 'American disaster' clearly stands out.This reference is to the attack on New York and is linked to these by the word 'soulphre' ( see page on Attack on New York for more). There is also an anagram of 'French deiviner' in the line.

The second line of this same verse is 'Don presente a ceux de l'Occean'. Like the first line of IX.90 it  shows 'concealed code' . There is also an anagram of 'executed'.

Now to verse IV.23 line 4 which reads 'Port Selyn Hercle feu les consumera'. The first part of the line could be poetry but it is a bad fit. 'Poets rely on' is a much better fit for these angrams are only each split once. At the end of the line is the anagram for 'numerals' and in 'nHercelef' is once more the anagram of 'French'

The second line of IV.23 is 'Calcine, Magnes, Soulphre et poix bruslera' and this begins  with 'mechanical' which is followed by 'engines', then 'exploit' and ends with 'arab rules' . This mechanical engine builds the 'sphere' as shown in the middle of the line.

I now need to build some words that do not immediately seem to   have a connection to code but this is to be expected in any message (linking words).

The second line of verse IX.48 says 'Enuironee de maretz en cristal'. The end of this line looks impossible to fit as a set of English anagrams but the word 'centralize' is a perfect fit. If the z is treated a s ans then 'Nostredame' applies in the centre of the line . 'American' occurs for a second time in the verse. (Nostredame was the unlatinised name of Nostradamus)

And lastly before putting it all together this is the content of line 4 of verse III.90 'Qui prendra terre au Tyrren Phocean'.It is more obscure but the anagrams in it are either 'Prophetic entry' or 'Quatrain-Prophecy'. Quatrain is the name of the type of four line verse used by Nostradamus.

The last line is powerful. It says what should be obvious Nostradamus put disasters into his work to make sure his real message endured but he says there is more poweful and truer prophecies yet to come

The rest of the message is highly useful but incomplete instructions. However they are far clearer now. The New York tower is used to set the time clock of the prophecies. It sets it to the rune called Sol as used by the Alchemists.
